A ready-to-use Troyer Horizontal Gourd designed specifically for House Sparrow trapping.
The Troyer Horizontal Gourd with Sparrow Door provides a dedicated House Sparrow trapping location without requiring you to convert one of your existing gourds. It comes equipped with the Troyer Sparrow Door Tunnel featuring a 1-1/4" round entrance designed for House Sparrow trapping.
The smaller entrance allows House Sparrows to enter while preventing Purple Martins and starlings from using the opening. This complete gourd also includes the Troyer Horizontal Tunnel Trap, giving you a ready-to-use trapping setup.
Ready to Use
The Troyer Horizontal Gourd ships assembled, making it an easy way to add a dedicated House Sparrow trapping location to an existing gourd rack. Simply hang the gourd, install the included tunnel trap when active trapping is desired, and check the trap frequently while it is in use.
Why a 1-1/4" Entrance?
The 1-1/4" entrance is designed specifically for House Sparrow trapping. It is not a Purple Martin entrance and helps keep Purple Martins and starlings from entering the trapping gourd.
